Legal Advisor

I have been a practicing Texas attorney in good standing since 2001. I owned my own law firm in S. Texas with emphasis on Family Law, Probate & Business issues. In 2014, my family and I moved to the DFW area for greater opportunities. We found them and have lived in and loved the area since. One fantastic thing we found about this area was that we easily made lifelong relationships and associations with people that have like interests. Being on the Board as legal counsel for Maker District is a stellar and prime example of that. It is a fantastic organization, run by fabulous people, and I am proud to be a part of it!

My dream for Maker District is for it to be a solution to a common problem amongst makers. A problem that I myself face. Nothing is worse than having an idea be condemned to the pages of a notebook because you don’t have the tools, resources, space, knowledge or collaborators you need to turn that idea into a reality. Maker District is an all-in-one solution to that problem. Every tool, resource and class that you could need to fabricate anything that you want- and if we don’t have it, we will sure try to get it so that you can get the project done! And what’s better? A community of other, like minded people to network with, create with or just become friends with.

For as long as I can remember, I have been a "maker of all trades".

I'm always working on something - graphic design, prototyping my own inventions, cosplay, mixed media art, cooking/baking and making weird things just because. I'm happiest when I'm creating and I love learning how to do new things! In addition to growing our community of makers and running our space, you'll probably see me in the shop working on my own projects.

Come say hi!
